About Us...

K and I have been married for 7 wonderful years. We met 15 years ago at our local grocery store where we both worked and became fast friends. He became my best friend and a year later, my boyfriend.  We dated for 6 years before he proposed one night at our favorite restaurant and were engaged for 2 years before we finally got married!  We are both Christians, and try our best to follow God's guidelines for a great marriage. It's not perfect and we definitely have our ups and downs, but we make it work and have so much fun together! 

I am 36 years old and a new stay at home mom. I love scrapbooking and I am almost always in the middle of a book. I love to watch Arrow, the Flash, Blacklist, and Designated Survivor. I am a huge Disney fanatic.  K and I love to watch movies! We are big action movie fans. He has also turned me into a superhero nerd. I love all the Marvel movies and DC shows. I love music and have that on almost all the time. I love Christian music and classic rock.  I love to listen to MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Def Leppard, Newsboys .I could keep going. I also can be very girly...I love makeup, wearing skirts, chick flicks, romantic moments. But I also love football season (especially college football! Geaux Tigers!!) big trucks, and watching wrestling with K.

K is 35 years old and a full time financial manager at our local bank. He loves playing video games and watching movies.  His favorite T.V. show is Farscape and Star Trek The Next generation. He is a huge hard rock fan and his all time favorite band is Metallica. He loves anything Sci-fi.  He is also a huge wrestling fan and has been watching it since he was a kid.

We are new to this parenting gig. We have one beautiful little girl named Remy.

After reading a post by  Sheila Wray Gregoire  about daddy issues and  a conversation I had this morning...this post sparked in my head and I prayed about it. Recently, I have had this want to grow closer to God. I don't want to just be knowledgeable about the bible, (although inspired by my sister, I am on a quest to read the bible from cover to cover. Not another New Year's Resolution post...

It's the first week of January and tons of articles, blogs, and tips are being released on organization, goal setting, losing weight, etc. I have to admit...I am a goal setter. For the past several years, I have spent time before Jan 1st to write down goals I want to achieve for the year. I am an annoyingly organized person, but I love the feeling of accomplishment. So what does this have to do with marriage or how does it help? Well, I know that K thrives on organization and structure as much as I do. Keeping our home life organized and structured helps our relationship succeed. I know how much K appreciates a clean house, cooked meals, etc so I strive to meet that. I make to do lists and work really hard to cross everything off. So that brings me back to goal setting.
